Leasing means you pay a monthly amount, but legally the e-bike does not belong to you. You choose a certain number of months that you want to use the e-bike for and pay the price per month defined for this period. Once this period has expired, you have the following options: You can return the e-bike to the dealer or pay a purchase price, which makes the e-bike yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What are the advantages? You can ride the e-bike without having to pay a lot of money in one go. The big disadvantage is that it is not yours and you will end up spending more money because of interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Renting is an easy way to ride an e-bike for a short period of time. The clear disadvantage here is that you pay regularly without investing in owning an e-bike. Certain places charge between CHF 340-570 per month, which, calculated over half a year, simply doesn’t give you any financial advantage (CHF 800-1300). It may make sense for people who want to test an e-bike over a short period of time, for example to consolidate a purchase decision. However, we would not recommend this for a longer solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A cash payment is the easiest way to own an e-bike quickly. However, it means that you have to spend a large sum of money at once, around 3000-6500 CHF. You could perhaps use this money in a more sensible way, for example by investing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Payment by instalments gives you the option of buying an e-bike and then paying off the costs monthly. The e-bike is entirely yours.
