The Kalkhoff brand was founded in 1919 by Heinrich Kalkhoff in Germany. The postman was the founder and innovator of the now well-known brand for bicycles and e-bikes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kalkhoff design, develop and manufacture in their own factory in Cloppenburg, Germany and are known for their high quality standards. All production takes place in Germany (Cloppenburg), which is an extremely valuable aspect for us. Kalkhoff also has one of the largest test laboratories in Europe, where they constantly test various components such as bicycle frames, seat posts and brakes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The range includes city and trekking e-bikes that make every ride a real experience. The minimalist and contemporary design is popular with young and old people! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bike brand offers several different models, the names of which can seem a little confusing at first glance. To help you understand them, we would like to explain the logic behind the different components. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The model name stands for the category in which the e-bike falls. The Kalkhoff Endeavour and Kalkhoff Entice are both trekking e-bikes. The Image, Agattu and Berleen are Kalkhoff\u2019s City e-bikes. By the way, the Kalkhoff Berleen 5.G Advance is the lightest bike in our range. This is partly due to the extremely light battery. The numbers 1-7 stand for the level of equipment. In terms of design, the models differ (e.g. in the way the battery is attached). Level 1 has its battery externally on the frame, level 7 has it elegantly and simply stowed inside the frame. In general, the higher the level, the more battery and motor power you get. Excite, the premium level with sophisticated features; Advance, best quality at a fair price; Move, high-quality basic equipment for versatile riders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“B” stands for Bosch, “S” for Shimano and “G” for Groove. This is how you can quickly and easily distinguish whether the components installed, such as the motor and battery, come from Shimano, Bosch or Groove Next. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
