Gerade weil der Jet d\u2019Eau so ein bekanntes Highlight von Genf ist, f\u00fchrt Dich auch diese Tour gleich als erstes dorthin. Von der Station Ch\u00eane-Bourg dauert die Anfahrt per Velo ca. 10 min. \u2013 mit dem normalen Fahrrad w\u00e4ren es knapp 20min. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es steht Dir nun frei, die Stadt per E-Bike zu erkunden \u2013 so wie es Dir gerade gef\u00e4llt. Schau bei Gesch\u00e4ften vorbei, die Du Dir vielleicht im Vornherein rausgesucht hast, oder trinke einen Kaffee in einem s\u00fcssen Restaurant. Ganz nach franz\u00f6sischer Art darf ein Croissant nicht fehlen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir empfehlen Dir auch hier, mindestens einmal \u00fcber die Mont-Blanc Br\u00fccke zu spazieren (oder zu radeln) und Dich an der einmaligen Szenerie zu erfreuen. Der n\u00e4chste angedachte Zielort f\u00fcr diese Tour ist die Kathedrale Saint-Pierre. Sie liegt auf dem H\u00fcgel in der Altstadt und gilt als eines der Wahrzeichen von Genf. Eine Besichtigung und Erleben der Geschichte lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

F\u00fcr den n\u00e4chsten Abschnitt der Tour solltest Du einen Snack dabei haben, denn sie f\u00fchrt Dich etwas weiter ausserhalb. Bis zum Aussichtspunkt sind es ab der Saint-Pierre Kathedrale 20km, mit dem E-Bike solltest Du in etwa 1.5 h ankommen. Am besten nimmst Du Verpflegung f\u00fcr unterwegs mit, damit Du die Aussicht bei einem Picknick geniessen kannst. Der R\u00fcckweg vom Aussichtspunkt bis zum Bahnhof Ch\u00eane-Bourg in Genf betr\u00e4gt 18 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fancy an e-bike tour through a Swiss city? So do we! We’ve picked out three routes for you and categorised them by difficulty level. Let’s go!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tour 1: City centre – Jet d’Eau – Parc de la Grange<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The e-bike tour starts at the railway station in Lancy, but of course you can also start the tour from the other side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First stop: the city centre of Geneva. There are really a lot of things to discover. If you are more of a cultural visitor, we recommend the MAMCO Museum of Modern Art or the RATH Museum of Art and History. If you are the kind of person who likes to admire architecture, we recommend a visit to the Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Gen\u00e8ve. There are also a number of small bars and restaurants in the area. Ideal for relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere of the city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next stop is the Jet d’Eau, Geneva’s must-see. The Geneva Jet d’Eau is a 140-metre-high vertical jet of water in the port of Geneva. It is one of the city’s most famous tourist attractions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a last destination, we recommend the Parc de la Grange. This park is the largest and most beautiful park you can find in Geneva. Be sure to bring a picnic or something to eat on a sunny afternoon. Sounds fabulous, doesn’t it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tour 2: Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre – Geneva Harbour Basin – La Belotte<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The starting point of this e-bike tour for your city e-bike is the railway station in Lancy. It is only a short distance to the first stop at the Grand Theatre, which you can cover in a relaxed manner on your e-bike. The distance is about 3 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre is an amazing building. You can see it from the outside or start the day with a coffee at the Caf\u00e9 de la Plage. You can also enjoy a tasty meal in an upscale ambience for extra energy. Maybe you’ll even come back later to see a play? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the quick little stopover, you continue towards the lake and over the Mont-Blanc bridge. On the lakeside, the picturesque view of Lake Geneva is a true delight for your eyes. The Jet d’Eau adds to the amazing view – it has something truly majestic about it. We recommend that you let the scenery at the Geneva harbour basin take full effect for a moment. This would also be the perfect place for a souvenir photo!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The path now leads back over the bridge to the right bank of the lake. The route now takes you along the lake to the La Belotte ferry station. The distance is about 5.5 km. On the way there, you will cycle past the Jet d’Eau and the Geneva beach (G\u00e9neve Plage) again. Depending on the weather, you are free to take a swim break on the way there or back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arriving at La Belotte station, this route would normally take you back the same way – but if you want, you can also plan a detour on the lake and take the ferry back to Geneva city centre. Then you will have seen all sides of the Jet d’Eau \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tour 3: Jet d’Eau – Geneva city centre – Alpine panorama<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This tour requires a certain level of fitness. Your e-bike motor surely helps, but we still only recommend this if you have a good fitness level. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because the Jet d’Eau is such a well-known highlight of Geneva, this tour takes you there first. From Ch\u00eane-Bourg station, the journey by e-bike takes about 10 minutes. For comparison: On a normal bike this distance would take about 20 minutes to cover. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are now free to explore the city by e-bike as you please. Drop in at shops you may have chosen in advance, or have a coffee in a cute restaurant. In true French style, a croissant is a must. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also recommend that you walk (or cycle) over the Mont Blanc Bridge at least once and enjoy the unique scenery. The next destination for this tour is the Saint-Pierre Cathedral. It is located on the hill in the old town and is considered one of Geneva’s landmarks. It is definitely worth visiting and experiencing the history! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the next part of the tour, you should have a snack with you, because it takes you a little further out. It’s 20km from Saint-Pierre Cathedral to the viewpoint, and you should arrive in about 1.5 hours on your e-bike. It’s best to take some food with you so you can enjoy the view with a picnic. The return journey from the viewpoint to Ch\u00eane-Bourg station in Geneva is 18 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
