This bike tour starts in Sion. Park your car there or travel by train and set off directly on your bike or e-bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This first route is a beginner’s route. It takes you over 40 km along the Rh\u00f4ne to Sierre, past the Ch\u00e2teau de Venth\u00f4ne and back to Sion. The difference in altitude is approx. 400 m and is easily manageable on an e-bike. Without stopping, you will arrive back at the starting point in approx. 1.5-2h. On the way, however, there are several stops that invite you to linger, e.g. the sunny town of Sierre or the Ch\u00e2teau de Venth\u00f4ne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second route leads through the entire region of Sion. During approx. 30 km, but twice as many metres in altitude as the beginner’s tour, it offers you numerous breathtaking views. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The difference in altitude means that this route is suitable for more athletic people – although this of course also depends on your e-bike. If you have a trekking e-bike with a powerful motor, you can also manage the difference in altitude with more support and thus save muscle power. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The starting point is Sion. Leave the town and head towards Ch\u00e2teauneuf. Then you follow the Morge up to the first ascent. Here you can already see the first vineyard, which will certainly delight you with its view. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first destination is Savi\u00e8se. Passing picturesque areas with various natural backdrops, you will reach Grimisuat. Fun fact: The herb gardens you can admire (and smell) here are used to make Ricola! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The panorama compensates for all the effort put in – it’s worth marvelling at the view during a long break! The Valais Alps continue to show themselves until you have completed the ascent to Arbaz. Once you reach the village of St. Romain, the steep descent begins. The way back takes you past the Lienne River to the Rhone and Sion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The last route and thus the most strenuous is the following with three ascents to Crans-Montana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The start of the route is practically the same as for the advanced route: with a few paddle steps, you head off towards the vineyards and up into the heights. Up to Arbaz, past herb gardens and picturesque landscapes. Instead of the descent, however, there is now another climb up to Anz\u00e8re. From Icogne, the last climb is up to Crans Montana, more precisely to Place d’Ycoor at 1500 metres above sea level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A break after this effort is well deserved. There are numerous restaurants and things to do on the Crans Montana! Check out all the activities in advance so you can plan your tour accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The descent to Sion takes you down to the valley and back along the Rh\u00f4ne to Sion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
