The most obvious reason for an S-pedelec is the cost. Not only are the purchase price and insurance significantly cheaper compared to a car, but the operating costs are also much lower. Especially with current petrol prices, an e-bike is very much worthwhile. Charging the battery costs only a few centimes on average. A car simply can’t compete with that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sounds contradictory at first, but it’s actually true. Statistically, around half of all journeys by car are less than 5 km. For such short distances and especially in city traffic, the S-pedelec is faster on average because you are nimbler and are not hindered by traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
